I have created a solid, regular daily routine. Even though I am going through a quite stressful period at work, I am applying as much as possible a ‘letting go’ attitude. Shaolin Self Mastery Course - physical level - I have been amazed by the rapid increase in weight loss, endurance and ability to endure with the physical exercises as the course has progressed. I have firmed up and toned a great deal of my muscles, especially in my legs. Mentally - I am finding I have much more self discipline and focus. I am an artist, and since starting this course, I am finding it much easier to connect with my intuition and create paintings borne from my spirit. I have found more peace and balance, which affects all areas of my life. I have become more flexible and lost some excess kilos, although I was not concerned with that. I run faster (and I think this is because I train more varied, not more volume). Balance and tranquility, more flexible, more energetic, I sleep better. The integrated approach that highlights all domains and the simplicity with which things are explained with deeper layers. You can follow even if you don't understand it. You can train at the moments that suit you best and get enough tools to organize. Everyone can train at his or her level and grow.

On the physical level I was struggling with the degenerative effects of Sjögren's syndrome and Raynauld phenomenon, in addition to lower back problems. On the mental level, I received a diagnosis of PTSD, which could be the cause of constant anxiety and sporadic episodes of depressive mood. I had difficulty to deal with the loss of loved ones, and for over two decades I watched the negative mental activity (guilty, grief) worsening with time.
Following the course I can feel improvements in every single aspect. The meditation sessions also have been fantastic, even though I have been trying to explore the subject for ages, I am now finally incorporating them into my daily routine, thanks to the encouragement of Shi Miao Hai. He enlightened me about the practical effects of meditation in our mind and behaviour.

Instead of feeling hopeless as it happened before, now I am able to remind myself that progress is not a straight line up, but a journey made of many ups and downs, and I am looking forward to keep advancing each day more towards my goal. On the physical level I was struggling with the degenerative effects of Sjögren's syndrome and Raynauld phenomenon, in addition to lower back problems. On the mental level, I received a diagnosis of PTSD, which could be the cause of constant anxiety and sporadic episodes of depressive mood. I had difficulty to deal with the loss of loved ones, and for over two decades I watched the negative mental activity (guilty, grief) worsening with time.

People here in Brazil even stop calling "senhora" (old lady) and started calling me você (you). :) The theory classes reminded me of important lessons that I have been receiving in my journey, and also brought new insights specially about Buddhism, which I did not know much. I would love to keep learning from Abbot Shi Heng Zong. The meditation sessions also have been fantastic, even though I have been trying to explore the subject for ages, I am now finally incorporating them into my daily routine, thanks to the encouragement of Shi Miao Hai. He enlightened me about the practical effects of meditation in our mind and behaviour.

Instead of feeling hopeless as it happened before, now I am able to remind myself that progress is not a straight line up, but a journey made of many ups and downs, and I am looking forward to keep advancing each day more towards my goal. On the physical level I was struggling with the degenerative effects of Sjögren's syndrome and Raynauld phenomenon, in addition to lower back problems. On the mental level, I received a diagnosis of PTSD, which could be the cause of constant anxiety and sporadic episodes of depressive mood. I had difficulty to deal with the loss of loved ones, and for over two decades I watched the negative mental activity (guilty, grief) worsening with time.
Following the course I can feel improvements in every single aspect. Despite the struggles with disciplining and creating a routine (which I am still working on) I was able to develop my practice enough to stop feeling the pain in the back, and to align my whole body structure, to develop my muscles, my posture has improved immensely - and I feel that it will become perfect once I manage to follow a constant routine of daily practice. My flexibility is returning and, as long as I am constant with the practice, the pain and stiffness in the joints stay away.

I am also amazed to see how we can regain energy. Following the practices, all of this is over, I feel energized, younger and strong. People here in Brazil even stop calling "senhora" (old lady) and started calling me você (you). :) The theory classes reminded me of important lessons that I have been receiving in my journey, and also brought new insights specially about Buddhism, which I did not know much. I would love to keep learning from Abbot Shi Heng Zong. The meditation sessions also have been fantastic, even though I have been trying to explore the subject for ages, I am now finally incorporating them into my daily routine, thanks to the encouragement of Shi Miao Hai. He enlightened me about the practical effects of meditation in our mind and behaviour.

Instead of feeling hopeless as it happened before, now I am able to remind myself that progress is not a straight line up, but a journey made of many ups and downs, and I am looking forward to keep advancing each day more towards my goal. Hello, I'm Hanny (J.M.) Keulers, 74 years old, residing here in Greece. Today, I'd like to share my profound experience with Shaolin Online. Shaolin Self Mastery Course - physical level - I have been amazed by the rapid increase in weight loss, endurance and ability to endure with the physical exercises as the course has progressed. I signed up for self-mastery because I wanted to change my life, especially in terms of self-control and my health. From my point of view, my biggest change is that I am much calmer, and I wonder about it myself. :-D Things that would have thrown me off or pissed me off a year ago leave me cold today. - I no longer struggle against racing thoughts, and I no longer slip into rumination -

When I started the Self-Mastery program, I was dealing with a lot of anxiety, rumination and racing thoughts. I suffered from shallow breathing and would sometimes stop breathing for a few moments in stressful situations. I was also just learning about Buddhism and Daoism, but I didn't have a teacher or curriculum to follow, so I was not getting much benefit from those teachings. I was lost in a sea of information with no guidance on how the different bits of knowledge fit together.
Since the start of the program, my mental state is much calmer and clearer. I no longer struggle against racing thoughts, and I no longer slip into rumination. Within Self-Mastery you learn the traditional Shaolin teachings, Kung Fu, meditation and single Qi Gong methods (not a complete Qi Gong form) as well as the Wu Xing Quan Kung Fu form.
